Just a little note to say a huge THANK YOU again for the absolutely brilliant urban dance session which Sammy gave our Rainbows on Monday. She is the most fantastic teacher, with a real gift for relating to the girls, and they all absolutely loved it!
My daughter loved it! She enjoyed the skills/technique aspect and loved how they worked on a routine at the end. Very happy! The class teacher explained to us parents about the need for kids to build their strength and master basic skills before they can move on to more complex moves - great to keep our expectations realistic.
We have to praise the ‘Step It Up Dance’ programme. My son has gained so much confidence he now shows off his dance skills to his pals at nursery!
My daughter and I started going to Family Hip Hop when she was 18 months old. For her it was a great introduction to dancing and gave her the freedom to make lots of noise and jump around. I felt that by me being there initially she was less shy and readily joined in because I was doing it too. For me it helped shift the last bit of baby weight and meet other mums. The classes are structured but the emphasis is on having fun. My daughter has now progressed to Hip Hop Tots and has become much more confident within the class and herself. Through the classes she has learned about different body parts, different styles of dance and been given a healthy outlet for her energy! I cannot fault Step It Up Dance, they are fantastic teachers, it is amazing to watch a room full of toddlers fully engaged in the process of learning a dance routine then performing it within a 45 min class. My daughter spends most of the week asking me “When is it dancing day?”
My daughter LOVED the class and can’t wait until next week!. She has been showing everyone her ‘swizzle’ all weekend!
